Baños, Ecuador 13-18/07

Hello a tous,

Baños est une station thermale tres prisee par les touristes et les locaux...rien d´etonnant vu le cadre idyllique...

Les activités ne manquent pas a Baños : visite du fameux volcan Tungurahua (en activité!) de jour ou de nuit ( nous avons opte pour la visite de nuit, malheureusement le ciel etait bien trop couvert pour voir les mini eruptions du volcan...), location de VTT pour parcourir la route des cascades, nous avons fait l´aller en vélo et le retour en bus!

Il y a 4 cascades a decouvrir durant ces 18kms, la derniere, "Paillon del Diablo" est une cascade tres impressionnante, nous avons pu monter jusqu´au sommet pour pouvoir apprecier la force de la chute d´eau et ..... sommes sortis tout mouillés!

Le dernier jour, nous avons loué un "Buggy" (genre de Karting pour 2 personnes) et avons visité les petits villages aux alentours...sympa!

Banos is a very touristy place loved by both locals and tourists....no wonder why when you look around...surrounded by towering green volcanic hills and blue skies, this is The place to chill out and/or enjoy the thousand activities this town offers...

Hot springs, day or night trip to the volcano, mountain bike trip to wonderful waterfalls, hiking, cayoning, climbing....you could actually spend a month there without getting bored!
We went on a night trip to the famous active volcano Tungurahua but were unlucky with the weather and could not see much. The next day, we chilled out as we had an "Irish day", I mean a day of rain ( all day long...!) ... the following morning, we woke up with a beautiful blue sky and were able to rent mountain bikes to ride the "waterfalls´road", great day!

The last day, we rented a buggy to visit the tiny villages around Baños, it was fun and we got to see the volcano in activity!
