Nouvelle Zelande 6-27/03 De Christchurch a Auckland

Hi Guys,
Happy Easter to everyone! Hope you had a good time during that long week end.
Greetings from NZ! Great great place and great experience for us! We rented a campervan for the 3 weeks and drove around the South and North Island,
we really enjoyed the freedom and independence of having our own transport!
We visited so many places that it would be too much to describe every single one!
Basically, if you are fond of mountains, lakes, rivers, volcanos, wildlife...plus 1000 of other crazy activities.. you have find your dream place!
We spent our time trekking! As the Kiwis said, tramping... anyway..we did walk a lot! We really enjoyed the different sceneries like lakes, glaciers, forests, mountains... some parts really reminded me Ireland (...less flat though!)
So we started in Christchurch and will end up in Auckland!
On the way, we drove to Bank Peninsula to visit a very cute little village named Akaora, famous for cruises to admire wildlife but also for the French atmosphere of this tiny place! Afterwards, we did some trekking in the Lake Tekapo, in the Mount Cook, drove to Queenstown, went to Milford Sound for an amazing cruise, walked to admire Fox Glaciers, trekked in Abel Tasman National Park in the north of the South Island, swam in the Lake Wanaka( "feckin'" freezing like!)....So many things and places..it's hard to describe them...
On the 20/03, we took the Ferry from the South to the North Island, arrived in Wellington where we spent the afternoon (great free museum!), drove to the famous Tongario National park the next day, did a little walk to get ready for a bigger trekk the next day! And today, we're in Lake Taupo, haven't done much today so far (it's 8PM here so....) did our Laundry, took a shower, and we re updating the blog so...not a bad day!
On the 24th of March, my Man´s birthday! we experienced skydive (his birthday present!), 12000 feet, 45 second of freefall...a crazy and unforgettable experience!See his pictures, they are great!
See ya all!
